Richmond Park Dog Rescue

Even though we have only about an inch or so of snow overnight, I still thought it would be a good opportunity to take a couple of atmospheric photos of special beers in the snow at Richmond Park. I wrapped up warm and set off to the Pen Ponds in the middle of the park. I had just taken this nice pic of Lovibonds Wheat Wine when a teenage girl rushed up asking me to help her. Her dog who had gone onto the iced over pond and was stuck on the island in the middle (in the centre background of the photo). What developed was an exciting and dramatic morning. Look away now though if you only come here for the beer ...

And just in case the beer lovers have made it this far, I still had time to portray The National Trust beer from Westerham Brewery in the snow.

What lovely photos! I am the sister of the running teenager, your blog has been e-mailed round to family! Thankyou for keeping her company!

And I'm the mum of the running teenager(her name is Amy) - she was absolutely terrified when she rang me! I'm so glad you were there to keep Amy company and to record this dramatic rescue...I'm slightly embarrassed at all the manpower used to rescue Hollie but very grateful and extremely impressed - thanks to everyone involved.
